  • All references in the report should be listed in the correct Harvard format
  • All detailed statistical tabulations, graphs, lists, questionnaires should be organized into separate appendices
  • Include a list of references (sources that are cited in the report itself)
  • Nothing should be included that isn’t referred to in the main body of the report.
  1. First Page should mention the name and logo of the University and the Program for which you have done the research
  2. Title Page: Mention the title of your Research
  3. Letter of Declaration:
  4. Letter by Research Supervisor (I will give you)
  5. Acknowledgments
  6. Executive Summary
  7. Table of Contents (Proper Page numbers should be provided for each chapter and sub headings)

START EACH CHAPTER FROM NEW PAGE

  1. Chapter 1: Introduction
  • Introduction chapter should be 5-7 pages and should contain conceptual aspects. Please note that those contents which are taken from some other study should be cited (surname, year) else it means that these are views of the researcher!
  • You may include images, graphs but cite them
  • Introduction Chapter followed by References
  1. Chapter 2: Review of Literature
  • Literature Review can be longer, maintain uniformity in quoting studies, use past tense, divide chapter into few sections and within them put studies chronologically.
  • (15 Studies to be quoted which may include your Research Proposal Studies)
  • At least 15 Literature Review followed by REFERENCES
  1. Chapter 3: Research Methodology

Please work from and add this chapter onto the document “Research Project Saif Mohammed v3 18-05-20”

Arial 12 is good font for the text, use bold, italics as needed while subheadings could be arial 14 +bold, 1.5 spacing.

The chapter could be of 5-8 pages. Mention objectives, hypotheses in this chapter as well. Use titles within the chapter. When and if appropriate – you can briefly mention the covid-19 pandemic and why it might’ve effected your choice in using certain technique/methods/online of data collection.

I created and conducted a Questionnaire on google forms online – and shared a URL link with people via Whatsapp, email, facebook.

  2. Researcher’s Prep for the study
    1. How did you prepare yourself for the research (For example by attending classes online, researching, reading etc)
  • Objectives of the Research
    1. Mention the research objectives
  1. Sample details and sample techniques – Judgement Sampling – this is the technique I used
    1. Briefly explain what is sampling.(theory)
    2. Discuss the other types of sampling techniques available and their advantages and limitations: Random, Stratified, Convenience , Quota, Snowball etc .

(You may do this in table form) – limitations and advantages for each one

  1. Explain why you chose Judgement sampling for the research.
  1. Sample Size my sample size was 35 – please see Google form – mention we sent to 100 people, but only received 35 responses
    1. Discuss about the sample size and why the sample size of 20 or 30 was chosen by you. –
  2. Sample Area (Geographical) – I specifically asked respondents who worked in the UAE, majority who were in Dubai, and a few samples in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah
  • Data Collection Tools –
    1. What is data collection and how did you collect data?
    2. Discuss the merits and demerits of various data collection techniques (You may do this in table form)
    3. Secondary Data
    4. Primary Data

Avoid using the words, ‘will be’ and ‘shall be’ because you have already done the work. Do not use ‘I’.

I will start adding notes to chapter 4 below – and will send these across to you in a few hours – I will highlight as I have done with chapter 3 and send you the updated document.

  3. What is data analysis (brief theory)
  • What tools have you used. ( Frequency tables, graphs, Mean , Percentage Analysis)
  1. Your DATA Analysis (question-wise) with graphs and appropriate calculations

  1. Chapter 5: Findings: Divide in view of objectives of the study (help yourself by converting objectives to subheading but do not forget to delete the initial from the objective i.e. ‘to study…’).Upto 3-5 pages but if required can extend as well.

  1. Conclusion and recommendations: Concusions should be based on data analysis. Recommendations for various stakeholders should be mentioned (3-5 Pages)
